A recent post in another community asked people to post pictures of themselves when they were younger. I pulled out my old photo albums and found a few of myself from high school. I don't have a scanner so I just took a picture of the pictures (WE NEED TO GO DEEPER) with my phone and uploaded them. I thought I'd share.

I was trying to walk out of my room the other day when I accidentally slammed my foot down on my belt buckle. The pointy part that goes in the belt holes went through my heel.

I didn't feel it at first, just heard a loud pop. When I realized I was connected to my belt I screamed for Greg. He brought me some paper towels to stop the bleeding and then disappeared into the other room. Apparently the blood almost made him pass out. He's so good in a crisis.

Greg wants me to get a tetanus shot since I haven't had one since I was a tiny child. I don't really think it's necessary, since I doubt my belt buckle is covered in the bacteria that causes it. Plus it's like $190 now that I don't have insurance. I washed it really well and irrigated it was sterile saline, so I think I'll be okay. If not, Greg has instructions to update my LJ to let everyone know.

I can't put any weight on it, but pain pills and whiskey are helping with that.

Greg just cut about a foot and a half of my hair off. That's him holding the ponytail, along with my toothbrush for a size comparison.

My hair was down to my hips, and now it's right at my shoulders. It hasn't been this short in 10 or so years. Showering afterward was a strange experience. It was so weird to go from taking 10 minutes to rinse my hair of shampoo to like 2.

I think I'm going to go get everything evened up later, and maybe start dyeing it again.

Aarika and I went thrifting for furniture on Saturday. We didn't find any, but we did find hilarious/scary shit like this... )

I made a Starburst wrapper bracelet today at work in between calls:

Okay, so back in January Aarika and I decided it would be a great idea to get trashed and go to the San Angelo Wedding Expo. We also thought it would be funny to pretend to be lesbians, and act like we were getting married. I forgot I'd uploaded the pictures, and now I'm finally posting them.

The SUV was on the flatbed haphazardly, leaning to one side. The car was hitched to the back of the flatbed. I was worried that the SUV was going to topple if the truck took a left turn too fast.

My dad gave me a new laptop to replace the old, broken one I've been using. I was pretty shocked. It's a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5919.

However, this sticker on the box worried me. Rightly so, because it BSoD'd on my three times. So I took it to Computer Stop and wiped/reloaded it with XP. The drivers gave me a bit of trouble, but now she's running smooth. Now I need to name her. Suggestions?

I drew this on the Module Team whiteboard at work:

Note: the Module Team is comprised of three very manly (albeit nerdy) men and me.

I just had a consultation with my piercer/good friend Chris. We've made wonderful plans to finish my ears. He's going to order all the tools/jewelry on Wednesday, and I think as soon as the supplies get in we'll begin!

The first thing is to punch my inner conch. I already have a 12g ring there, and we're just going to punch that sucker out. I'm going to end up with a 2g tunnel.
I'm going to have someone (with a strong stomach) record the entire thing, and you can bet your ass it's going on the internet.
I'm also going to eat the bit of leftover skin. Chris is definitely not a big fan of that part.

After that's healed we're going to put two dermal anchors at either temple, right in front of each ear. After the initial healing phase I'm going to have the discs replaced with flat silver stars. Chris wants me to get bolt heads (a la Frankenstein's monster) but I like dainty things.

Finally we're going to do something with my right ear. My left ear is done (minus the punch). I'm happy with all the jewelry in there (besides the lobes). My right ear is pretty empty at the top, though. Chris is going to bend some jewelry and we're going to do something like this: lol mspaint. I want to call it a reverse orbital, but I'm sure there's a better name for it.
(Ignore the naked lobes, I'm trying to thicken my lobes so I gave them an emu oil massage and now they're just relaxing.)

During all of this I'll still be steadily stretching my lobes. My goal for years was 0g, but now I'm leaning towards 9/16" or 3/4". I haven't decided, and I'm sure I won't until I get up there.

I'm so hopelessly in love with it.

Done by the amazing Randy at Bullet Proof Tattoo.
It didn't hurt a bit, either.

The wind knocked over the basketball hoop in my driveway last night. The same basketball hoop I've been meaning to get rid of for months. Of course it hit my car on the way down.

I couldn't get the damned thing apart, so I sawed it in half. Now it's sitting in my backyard.

I took these pictures a few months ago. I finally got around to resizing and uploading them.

Backstory: Drew was back in the States on leave from the Army. We threw him a drunken bonfire out in the country, emphasis on the drunken.

When CR was in town visiting we ended up walking around Historic Downtown San Angelo, and we found a really cool abandoned building, and some awesome graffiti. I didn't have my camera with me then, so yesterday Zack and I went back to take some pictures.
