I don't mind getting piercings/tattoos or having blood drawn, but I can't stand to get IVs or shots. I don't really understand why.

I was in the ER a few years back, sick as hell. I started crying when the nurse was putting in the IV and the bitch looked at my facial piercings and said "why are you crying so much, you obviously like pain". I wanted to fucking deck her.

It's all a matter of personal preference I guess. I love it all of my modifications, but I couldn't ever get my vajayjay pierced. My best friend loves it, and swears it was the best thing she ever did.

I didn't know you could refuse and/or talk someone out of a tattoo. Cause if someone wanted like, some Juggalo shit or their girlfriends name somewhere, I'd just be like YOU GET NOTHING, GOOD DAY SIR...and apparently that's not good "tattoo ettiqute".
On the flipside, people would also be coming in with awesome ideas and I'd be like SHIIIIT, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!?

I've seen artists either flat out deny it (after all, people's tattoos are walking advertisements for your work) or talk them into something else.

For instance, originally I wanted two swallows on either of my shoulders, holding a banner in their mouths which would stretch across my chest. Instead, the artist drew my actual chestpiece (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/cherrymaggot/tattoopictures001_editedSmallmod1.jpg) which looks a lot better.
