Yeah totally. I used to hang out at a tattoo shop, and I was shocked at some of the people who came in and had no idea what they were getting themselves into.

If there's one thing I could never be, it's a tattoo artist. Can you imagine the amount of alcohol it would take to drown out the memory of giving someone an Insane Clown Possee tattoo?

I didn't know you could refuse and/or talk someone out of a tattoo. Cause if someone wanted like, some Juggalo shit or their girlfriends name somewhere, I'd just be like YOU GET NOTHING, GOOD DAY SIR...and apparently that's not good "tattoo ettiqute".
On the flipside, people would also be coming in with awesome ideas and I'd be like SHIIIIT, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!?

I've seen artists either flat out deny it (after all, people's tattoos are walking advertisements for your work) or talk them into something else.

For instance, originally I wanted two swallows on either of my shoulders, holding a banner in their mouths which would stretch across my chest. Instead, the artist drew my actual chestpiece (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v511/cherrymaggot/tattoopictures001_editedSmallmod1.jpg) which looks a lot better.
